Recently, our St. Labre middle schoolers welcomed some visitors from OPI and NASA.  Each student built a rocket with the help of the NASA experts.  Once the rockets were made the boys and girls headed outside and two at a time, the students launched their rockets after a countdown of 3…2…1…blastoff!  A few members of a rocket club from Lame Deer Dullknife College came and brought with them one of their rockets.  They were not able to launch the missile, that can shoot up to 8,000 ft. in the air, but they did shoot off the top capsule to show the kids the powerful force it takes to separate the top from the rest of the rocket.
