Alyssa, a Senior at St. Labre, was recently awarded the Service Award during the 2022 National Honor Society gala that honored the 25 winners in Washington D.C.  Alyssa was awarded a $10,625.00 scholarship!

As a Northern Cheyenne Tribal member, Alyssa volunteers to help elders in the community and has helped raise money for charities.  She has also worked to raise awareness of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women.

While in Washington D.C., Alyssa said, “My family has always stressed the importance of service for my community, and this award recognizes their hard work as much as mine.  This scholarship is an investment in my future and my community’s future, and I am so proud to be able to say that I am a part of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe and an advocate for MMIW.  This is only the beginning for us all.”

Please join us in celebrating Alyssa, her hard work, and her accomplishments.
