Education
Our Schools
At St. Labre, we believe all students deserve a transformative education that breaks the cycle of generational poverty and also enriches their lives and opens doors to opportunities. From preschool through high school, St. Labre is committed to providing a tuition-free, culturally-rich education that prepares students for future success, promotes spiritual growth and embraces the cultural identities of Native American children across three Southeastern Montana campuses.
In addition to a strong academic curriculum, St. Labre also offers classes and activities shaped by the Northern Cheyenne and Crow cultures. These include courses that teach Native languages, literature, history, tribal government and more. Our holistic approach to education focuses on the “whole student” by developing their mind, body and spirit – equally.
Our high school is fully accredited by the Montana State Office of Public Instruction and the Western Catholic Education Association. Motivated by our Catholic faith, every student has the opportunity to attend weekly Mass to feed the spirit as well as the mind.
St. Charles Mission School
Nestled at the foot of the beautiful Pryor Mountains on the Crow Reservation just south of Billings, Montana, St. Charles Mission School, founded in fall 1891, provides students a tuition-free education from preschool through 8th grade.
Pretty Eagle Catholic Academy
Named in honor of Crow leader Pretty Eagle, the Academy is located on the Crow Reservation 23 miles south of Hardin, Montana. Our school has served Native American children and families since 1887 and provides a tuition-free education from kindergarten through 8th grade.
