Shiloh Youth Group Home
We believe all children should live in a safe and secure home where they can thrive. For children without a stable living environment, the Shiloh Youth Group Home is a welcoming alternative home where they can find love and support. While attending school at St. Labre, children and youth who reside at SYGH participate in activities and receive the daily essentials of life and care needed while being surrounded by a community of support and love. Children living in the SYGH are able to do so at no cost to them or their families, for as long as they need or until age 18. The group home is 97% subsidized through private donations. Only 3% of the operating expenses are covered by foster payment reimbursement from the U. S. Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA).
Community Outreach Services
For Northern Cheyenne and Crow families, St. Labre offers critical assistance with food, heating and other essentials.
St. Labre’s focus is ensuring every child is safe, nourished and loved in the classroom and beyond. We are deeply committed to serving the needs of our entire community. For families experiencing food insecurity, our food pantry distributes more than 120 large boxes each month. The St. Labre Clothes Room Thrift Store & Amazon Return Store is always stocked with necessities for as little as 25 cents, from clothing and shoes to household items.
When a loved one falls sick and must travel to receive medical care, St. Labre provides gas and food assistance, even help with motel expenses as the nearest hospital with the needed services can be hours away.
For families who are grieving a loss, St. Labre provides food assistance and help with financial and spiritual support, which may also include funeral services.
Honoring our Elders through care and respect
For the elders of our community, St. Labre provides food assistance and help with electric, water and gas bills. During the colder months, our elders are offered heating assistance, holiday meals and warm clothes.
Work Incentive Program
Helping community members find and secure work
Facing local unemployment rates that are 200% to 300% higher than the state average, finding steady work is a major hurdle in the communities we serve. St. Labre’s Work Incentive Program helps bridge this gap. By participating in community service opportunities, individuals gain vital job skills while earning points toward the necessities they need right now – like food, gas, and heating vouchers. It’s a powerful way to support our community, through the dignity of work, as they strive toward full-time employment.
