Noah, the 2026 valedictorian of the St. Labre High School graduation class, thinks this is the best way to receive a great education. Apparently, he's on to something since he earned valedictorian status. He cites his parents as being supportive and helpful throughout his long career at St. Labre. He came as a kindergartner and remained at the school until his graduation this year.
"I enjoy the history of St. Labre."
When asked what he favors about St. Labre, he cites the combination of Native culture and the Catholic faith, both mainstays of the school. "l enjoy the history of St. Labre," he says. In the same breath, he discusses his love of history of all kinds: Native American History, History of Western Civilization, and American History.
In his spare time, he likes to hunt and fish and hike, like most Montanans in the vicinity of St. Labre. He cites hunting deer, bear, antelope and good fishing as his favorite sports.
Noah's plans for the future after high school center on college. He and his dad traveled to Alaska recently to check out the University of Alaska-Juneau. He enjoyed the experience and liked the school but felt it was way too far from home in Montana. So, his next choice is Carroll College in Helena, Montana, a four-year Catholic Institution. He plans to major in education, hopefully teaching 3rd or 4th grade.
As for his time at St. Labre, he has made many friends, and he enjoys the morning prayer times in his classes led by his teachers. He hopes to travel some this summer before beginning his college education and, of course, hang out with his friends, Christian and Colt. He also enjoys his family-one sister and two brothers and a bunch of rabbits that hang around the property.
When he's not too busy, he enjoys reading, cooking and fishing. Recently, he caught enough fish to fry up some for his lunch. And, again, he reminds everyone that the best way to live life is "to go with the flow." So far, that has worked well for Noah, and we wish him the best in his future endeavors.
